A change of heart can change your health

About Transformational Eating™

Transformational Eating™ is a class and support group that offers a radical departure from the normal healing approaches and uses the most dependable, sturdy healing tool we possess: your heart.

An introduction to and overview of my Transformational Eating™ program.

Transformational Eating™

It's time to create space to care for and love the part of you that struggles with food and your health.

Not in a "let me read about it on Instagram" manner, but in a tangible way with the help of an expert.

Consider this: What do you say to yourself when you're alone? Is it gentle and caring or a stream of harsh judgments?

Our inner voice around food and health challenges can vary, but it often carries hostile comments.

However, you can transition from this:

"You are so freaking stupid. See? You’ll never change. Any normal person would probably laugh if they knew how much you think about food and your health."

To this:

"Okay, this is a lot. Food and health are complicated for me. I'm unsure how to care for myself and maintain a healthy relationship with food. Sometimes, it feels scary and too difficult to sort out, but I can learn to be kind to myself during this process."

How? Discover what your heart holds as truth, then assess its validity. If it’s not true, you can change this perceived truth. I use two specific methods: Self-Compassion and Reparenting (inner child or parts work) in a small, safe space. If you are ready to take a deeper look at the framework of your relationship with food, chronic illness or repeating life patterns holding you back, this class is for you.

Transformational Eating™ — For Individuals is an evidence-based, 12-hour, 6-week live Zoom support group and skills class that teaches the skills of self-compassion and reparenting, helps explore underlying belief systems, and aids in showing kindness to internal hurt — all in the name of delivering solutions that break the damaging and exhausting cycle of emotional and disordered eating as well as overthinking about health issues.

In this very hands-on, highly interactive class that meets weekly in 2-hour blocks, you will:

  • Develop powerful tools for building a lifelong compassion practice

  • Explore belief systems and their connection to your challenges

  • Implement self-compassion skills to change old belief systems

  • Learn how to lean into discomfort

  • Practice using your compassionate heart space and energy

  • Create a personal practice that goes beyond Intuitive Eating, HAES, and diet culture

The total cost for the class is $475, including an expansive workbook and custom meditations. Additionally, all classes will be recorded and viewable for up to one week if you can’t attend and/or want to review.

This class is intentionally small (a maximum of ten people), so please sign up as soon as possible to ensure you get a spot.

Note: This is a 60% Support group and 40% Skills class. Participation is the hallmark of this class. Being present with your camera on and willing to share your experiences around food are two of the central focuses of the group.

What Is Your Family Cosmology of Eating?

March 6, 13th, 20th, 27th 4-6pm PST $200

How do we genuinely reclaim our power around eating? Before we can truly give ourselves unconditional permission to eat, we learn where we have blocked unconditional loving for ourselves.

Looking at the cosmology of our family’s eating beliefs allows us to do this by understanding the patterns and beliefs informing our relationship with food.

  • What did your family (caretakers) believe and why?

  • What was the story you heard and how did that impact you?

  • Were there any conditions on the love you received from caretakers and how did that impact the love you currently give yourself?

This powerful, transformative work touches directly into your relationship with food and body freedom. Together we will construct your family cosmology tree of eating and examine how it limits and informs your current relationship with food and how to change through self-compassion.

This Is Not Your Typical Class…

Transformational Eating™ is not a diet or specific way of eating, nor is it a form of Intuitive Eating or mindful eating. Instead, it’s a powerful approach to healing emotional and disordered eating that uniquely blends self-compassion skills, belief work, and reparenting.

By focusing on you, your history, and your beliefs — rather than how and what you eat — it goes to the absolute core of your relationship with food. This is deep work that helps you acknowledge, soothe, and treat with kindness the very parts of you that hurt most.

“Before I took Jessica's course, I was completely hopeless that I would overcome my eating disorder. I had tried everything... nothing worked. At the end of the course, with her help and the shared insight of the group setting, I am coming up on two months of not practicing the eating disorder, and for the first time in years, it didn't feel like a tremendous burden. It just happened.”

About Class Participants

Transformational Eating™ class participants are women (generally) just like you — they’ve struggled with food for years, if not decades. They’re mentally and physically exhausted by the impact food has on their lives, their work, and their relationships, and are ready to find peace once and for all.

Whether triggered by elimination diets, significant life transitions, trauma, fear, self-awareness, body image concerns, and/or illness, among other factors, common food struggles of my class participants include:

  • Food anxiety

  • Stress eating

  • Binge eating disorder

  • Purging disorder

  • Bulimia nervosa

  • Orthorexia

  • Anorexia nervoisa

  • Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)

Class Participants Show +30% Increase
In Self-Compassion & Body Awareness

Interoceptive awareness is the ability to know and recognize one’s internal body cues and signals, such as hunger and satiety. Statistically, people struggling with emotional and disordered eating have lower interoceptive awareness, making it more difficult for them to listen to and/or trust the signs their bodies are sending about food.

Survey results from recent class participants demonstrate that Transformational Eating™ materially increases their ability to hear and trust internal signals, as well as their ability to show kindness toward themselves. Students saw double-digit improvements in every measured category (e.g., self-kindness, mindfulness, attention regulation, body listening, trusting) across the gold standards of testing: The Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness and the Self-Compassion Scale - Short-Form.

This combination of results — hearing, trusting, and kindness — is the driver of impact for Transformational Eating™.
